St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital, Griffith, will be a private hospital with inpatient and day only beds. The new hospital will also house 2 Operating Rooms to enable specialist clinicians to provide surgical and procedural services for their patients as well as consulting suites to enable specialist consultation in Griffith.
Central to the Project, the new development will also accomodate the Murrumbidgee Clinical Teaching and Learning Centre (MCT&LC) that will provide local training and education in a range of disciplines including medicine, nursing and allied health. Building capacity and the capability of all clinical staff is a key strategy to ensure a sustainable workforce going forward. The MCT&LC’s educational and clinical partners include the University of Wollongong, University of New South Wales, University of Notre Dame, Charles Sturt University, Murrumbidgee Medicare Local, Griffith City Council, Griffith Base Hospital, the Griffith Technical and Further Education (TAFE) and Coast City Country training.
